Pathology lab

Pathology tests include blood tests, urine tests, stool tests, and tests on bodily tissues. Pathologists interpret blood and pathology tests and look for abnormalities that may indicate disease, such as cancer and other chronic illnesses, or health risks, such as diabetes.

OAE

An otoacoustic emission test (OAE) measures the function of hair cells in the inner ear. As a result of stimulation, sound is generated within the normal cochlea of the ear. There are a number of reasons why OAE testing is used, including screening infants and special populations.

Pure tone audiometry

In pure-tone audiometry, hearing sensitivity is measured using a behavioral test. The tones are delivered to one ear at a time at a specific volume and frequency. You are asked to signal when you hear a sound. Each tone is graphed based on the minimum volume needed to hear it.

Free field audiometry

When individuals cannot wear headphones, Free Field Audiometry provides an alternative method to assess them. An external speaker is used instead of headphones to present the sounds to the patient. Pediatricians often use free field measurements for testing patients with additional needs. When REM or RECD targets cannot be met by a client wearing hearing aids, Free Field Audiometry can provide an indication of how the client responds to sound.

Speech therapy

Communication problems and speech disorders are assessed and treated with speech therapy. Communication can be improved by using speech therapy techniques. Based on the type of speech or language disorder, this may include articulation therapy, language intervention activities, and others.

Hearing aid

Hearing and balance disorders are evaluated and treated by Audiology. With the expertise of our Doctors of Audiology, we offer quality care to our patients. With the help of our certified audiometric technicians, we are able to provide additional support to patients when needed.

ECG

During an electrocardiogram, the electrical signals in the heart are recorded. This is a simple, painless test for detecting heart problems and monitoring heart health. An electrocardiogram, also known as an ECG or EKG, is performed by a health care provider at their clinic or hospital. Mostly surgical rooms and ambulances are equipped with ECG machines.

Pulmonary function test

The purpose of pulmonary function tests (PFT's) is to measure how well air enters your lungs and how well oxygen enters your bloodstream. Spirometry, diffusion studies, and body plethysmography are the most common PFTs. In some cases, only one test is scheduled, in others, all tests are scheduled on the same day.

Tympanometry

This procedure reconstructs the eardrum and can also repair or replace the three tiny bones in the middle ear called ossicles. Tympanoplasty is similar to myringoplasty, which is performed under local or general anesthesia to repair a perforated eardrum and ossicles. Depending on the severity of the disease, there are different types of tympanoplasty. Depending on the type of tympanoplasty performed, the procedure can take between 30 minutes and two hours.

X-RAY

The X-ray machine uses invisible electromagnetic energy beams to capture images of internal tissues, bones, and organs on film or digital media. X-ray machine is also available in the Hospital.
